Many large-scale editorial publications struggle to balance a distinctive visual identity with clear, goal-oriented communication. When produced in high volumes for diverse audiences, inconsistencies in layout, typography, and narrative structure can dilute the intended marketing message and reduce overall impact. Additionally, translating strategic marketing concepts into cohesive visual systems that remain both engaging and scalable presents a significant challenge.
In collaboration with the agency Schilling+Schilling and AD Richard Kaim I developed a series of editorial design projects produced in high print runs and distributed across diverse audiences. These publications required a careful balance between strong visual identity and clarity of communication, ensuring that each piece not only stood out aesthetically but also fulfilled its purpose as an effective marketing tool.
Working on editorial formats at scale demands precision and consistency. From typography and layout systems to image selection and pacing, every element must contribute to a cohesive reading experience while remaining adaptable to large-volume production.
I translate these strategic ideas into visual form: to interpret tone, hierarchy, and narrative, and to create editorial designs that communicate with purpose.
