Brand Identity and product design

MODOS

The Problems

The Problems

MODOS is a design-driven brand born out of the desire to support creatives in their daily workflow by providing tools that adapt to them, rather than forcing users to adapt to rigid, pre-designed systems. I developed a product concept that represents this philosophy in its purest form: a modular keyboard tailored specifically to the needs of designers. This project covers the development of the product design, the corporate identity for MODOS, and a full product launch campaign.

Designing MODOS meant addressing a fundamental tension: how to create a brand that represents structure without feeling restrictive. The product is built around flexibility and individuality, yet branding systems traditionally rely on consistency

. Translating a philosophy of adaptability into a coherent visual identity became a central challenge. Another difficulty was balancing precision with personality. The target audience works in highly technical environments but values creative expression. The brand needed to feel digital and exact, without becoming cold or generic. Too much structure risked losing emotional connection, while too much expression could weaken clarity and usability.

The Solutions

The Solutions

To resolve these challenges, I approached the MODOS brand as a system rather than a fixed set of rules. Instead of enforcing rigidity, I designed a flexible framework where consistency comes from relationships between elements, not from strict repetition. This allowed the identity to stay recognizable while still adapting across different contexts and applications.
To balance precision with personality, I combined clean, geometric structures with subtle irregularities. The typography plays a key role here. It appears structured and technical at first glance, while small details introduce moments of character and disruption. This reflects the reality of creative work: a blend of control and intuition.

The color system was developed with a similar intention. A restrained base ensures clarity and usability, while bold accent tones are used selectively to create energy and focus. This contrast allows the brand to feel dynamic without becoming overwhelming, guiding attention rather than competing for it.

Ultimately, the solution was not to eliminate the tension between structure and freedom, but to design within it. By building a brand that behaves like the product itself I was able to translate the core philosophy of MODOS into a visual and conceptual identity that supports both clarity and creative expression.
